How to get my sound back?
I seem to have deleted my multimedia audio controller on my laptop. I'm not sure how to get it back, and i dont know what to do once i have it. From wat i know the multimedia audio controller is Realtek AC97 Audio. Any help will be appreciated. I dont know if this helps but its a toshibia satellite P25-S507, and everytime i log onto the computer it says it found a new hardware which is Realtek AC97.

Could really use some help here? I'm desperate!!!

Hey we are all volunteers here so there is no need to freak out if your question isn't answered in only 16 minutes; a good rule of thumb is 24 hours. I'm the only one on right now & I've had other threads to deal with. First I would try a system restore. Also we could use more information on your computer especially make/model. If you don't know the specs on you computer please feel free to run our hardware scan & post back the link.

Ya sorry about tht. Anyway thanx a bunch.

Did you try a restore point? Please do that first.

If that doesn't work try this & do a search for drivers [add that to the end of the search box] and then look for realtek audio driver. The website won't let me do a direct link. I also saw an auto update utility. I hope that helps.

ya the restore point didnt work.
ok ill give tht a go.

BTW double posting is more work for us (and the possibility for confusion) so please refrain from it. If you don't know where to put it it don't matter which forum you put it in because we'll find it either way and if the moderators don't like where it is they'll move it.
