    No sound - WinXP

I had sound yesterday, but today - nothing.

When I click on the sound bar the system sound (from the computer) makes a beep.
This usually means the drivers aren't installed. But in this case they are.
I've done everything I can think of to fix this but nothing works.

    I have a MSI K9N SLI Platinum + Creative SB X-Fi XtremeGamer.

I tried to reinstall drivers, removing the sound card and do a clean install of XP.
No errors in the device manager.

And no, the speakers works and nothing is on mute. ;P

    Please help!
    Thanks

    Welcome to D-A-L.

Download, install, and run Everest Home Edition on this machine. (Clean FreeWare)

Once it's finished loading and running, look under Multimedia, or, under Multimedia, PCI / PnP Audio. This will tell you what sound devices you have available on your system.

    Post that information.

After the OS reinstall, did you install the mainboard chipset driver and reboot PC before reinstall the other drivers?

If not, you should do so now.

    Hope this helps!
