I laid a notebook on the keyboard after removing the notebook all the icons on the desktop are vwertical and not horizontal as they should be. The start button is at the top left of the screen and the time is at the top right of the screen. Please help me. I am getting a crick in my neck by holding it sideways to read my email.

I would probably just reboot and see if it corrected itself. It sounds link your taskbar is simply positioned on the top of the screen. You should be able to pull it down to the bottom. As far as the icons, are they aligned vertically, or have the icons rotated 90°?
