    will not run in safe mode

    Hi can anyone help?my laptop crashed,it had a virus on it and i got the new kaspersky,it loaded on ok,i then done a full scan and when i came back to it it was off.i tried to restart but it kept coming up with blue screen with error,i have tried to start up in safe mode but it still goes back to the blue screen with an error message 0000000021a,i am not hot on computers but can anyone help??

    We need more info on your computer, computer make/model. Also please specify what the error on the blue screen is.

    It is a SONY VAIO,sorry too much computer jargon above, way over my head,the error is 0000000021a fatal error.

    Please read on how to get into the recovery console [option 2]. Note that you will need to know the password for the administrator account. If you have XP home you more than likely don't have it password protected. From there type in rstrui.exe to access the system restore and choose a restore point from before you installed that program. If that doesn't pull it up you might have to change the driectory first by first typing in "cd \ "[notice the spaces] and then "cd %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\". If that still doesn't doesn't work you might have to do a restore manually.
