Disk consistency check

Disk consistency check
I currently have Windows XP on my PC and every time I load it up, it asks to do a disk consistency check (volume label 2) on my other hard drive, which used to be Windows Vista, but is now just data storage.
It doesn't appear to be having any sort of effect on my usage of the PC, although a way to stop it would be great, since it is increasing the load up time of my PC, so if I am in a hurry it is incredibly irritating.
Thanks.

Hi ED and welcome.
This is not an uncommon problem. Take a look at Kelly's Korner Windows XP from A-Z, click on C, then scroll to "Check Disk - Disk Checking Runs Upon Boot".
