dont know whts the prob.when i installed xp with 98 after restarting my computer when i select xp its shows black screen after showing loading xp....pls solve my prob

You will need to supply more info. Things like Specifications. Processor, ram,computer make and model, whether XP Home or Pro, Sp1,sP2,sp3. Not
a whole lot of info in your original post to make a informed suggestion. Detail is good. Vagueness is not so good. Our Windows guys are good trouble shooters. But ya gotta give them something to work with. Happy Trails sajan.

Like Rocky said, more info is needed. In addition, have you previously been able to run XP on your computer? Do you get to the OS selection menu? Have you tried safe mode? Can you still boot into 98? Is 98 on the same hard drive? What major hardware or software changes have you done to the computer recently? How far along in the boot process do you get?
