I downloaded iTunes so I could install it onto my computer but now that I attempt to install iTunes it says that I need to get out of safe mode, which I am not in. I have tried restarting my computer but it still says that I need to get out of safe mode. Can anyone help me out?

Is this just happening with ITunes ? Or with everything you try to install ? Sounds like a fault has occurred in the system files and needs a repair . Do you have the original XP disc ?

If so - set BIOS to " boot from disc " , insert the disc . When the prompt to " select partition on which to install " there should also be a prompt to " repair an existing installation " normally prompted by pressing " R " .
