    okay .. good news after chdsk i am runnin 99% like normal speed ... i will defrag and chdsk all the other partitions .. i got 6 partitions .. so this will take about a week lol ...
    i will report back on the computer status when i defrag and chdsk all the 6 partitions ... thanks for your help all

    guys ... not so good news ... whenever i try to start taskmanager i get this
    the application has failed to start because rtutlis.dll was not found reinstalling the application may fix the problem ...

    now this does not only happen with task manager it happens with some other programs too ... however i checked for the rtutlis.dll in system32 folder and it was there .. i dont know what to do .. help

    Try scan the HDD by running the "chkdsk c: /r/v" at the DOS command.
    This HDD scanning may take you some time.

    thanks bill but i already tried chdsk through properties from the partition and then check now ... however that only made the computer faster but still the rtutlis.dll was still not found

    I would be very cautious about using a dll from an unofficial source. No offense Bill. If you want to do this I would scan it for viruses and back up what is already there. You can either copy it elsewhere or rename it to something else such as rtutlis.dll.txt. What I recommend that you do is to open up a command prompt [click run and type in cmd] and then type in sfc /scannow. This will test your system files and replace them if necessary. It might prompt you for your windows installation disk.

    The problem might or might not be with the file but it could also be a problem with the registry or with the program(s) that are trying to use it. If you had file system or sector errors on your windows partition then your system might be corrupt.
