Xvid.dll cause Windows unreponsive error
Good Evening DAL peoples,
I've had this problem for awhile but now its getting under my skin
whenever I go into my folder containing my video files after about 10 seconds I get an error saying that Xvid.dll has caused an error and my Windows close temporarily . I went a read a couple of posts and I uninstalled the the program called Xvid, I could not find any codec that said Xvid that it stated to remove. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thx much, dnk

Have you tried reinstalling XVid? What is the exact error message?

Error sig.

Hey jephree!
You helped me with a PC upgrading/malware topic. Good to see you still around
I'll try that and get back at ya'. I use my uninstaller to remove it, do I need to take any other actions to remove it completely?

Jephree your the man,
K Lite (full) installed and was a complete success! No errors anymore!
It removed a bunch of damaged reg entries I had during setup that was probably contributing to the error. I can now watch AVI files using WMP, back then I had to switch between VLC RMP GOM because some random issue would prevent me.
I really appreciate the advice, Thanks much.
dnk-
P.S. I was asking you on my other thread about the PC I was going to trade for and I traded my 360 for a ASUS Eee PC 4G - Celeron M 630 MHz - 7 " - 512 MB Ram - 4 GB HDD so can run all the simultaneous programs I need to use.
