Hi,

I recently installed Daemon tools on my laptop for backing things up, but after i did i found that the sound didnt work. So i system restored the computer back to before i installed Daemon tools but im still getting nothing....

I've done everything i can think of, ive checked the drivers, updated them, looked for hardware conflicts and even pushed some headphones in and out of the headphone jack in case that was stuck. I've had no joy with it sadly, and I really need to get this fixed asap.

The sound card is a SigmaTel C-Major Audio. I've had no luck with anything, everything seems fine, the volume goes up and down etc, the mute shows that it is muted, but i have the laptop playing full volume and its just silent. It seems to work perfectly aside from having no sound.

Gone to the Dell website and downloaded and installed the newer drivers.
