    Post Unresponsive programs

Yesterday, I was doing homework using internet explorer, the computer crashed and went to a blue screen of death. It said something about dumping physical memory and there was a number count. After a few, the computer restarted and i logged in. Firstly, i noticed that the internet was not responsive even though it was plugged in and the modem light flashes. Then i thought it was a virus so i tried opening malware something ( the one that jephree told me to install) to check whats going on. It doesn't even bother opening. I tried other softwares and they dont open as well. I opened itunes but it doesnt recognize my iod. I did a disk cleanup and defrag and they worked fine. I also tried to restart computer in safe mode. Every time i do this, that blue screen od death comes up. I also tried restart with last known good config. and it also went to that evil screen. FInally i tried system restore and i picked the date and pressed next. The next step is pressing next to initiate the restore. I click next but the button doesnt work( i click it and the button is pressed but nothing happens). I left it there thinking that it was just slow but after an hour i came back to see that it was still being unresponsive. I think that it might be a virus but who knows. Im on a friend's computer so i can't really send you guys a post or log. I can transfer data if you need to see logs and such. please help

    I see two options:

    1. BSOD
    --------------------------------------------------
Read the post HERE for a few diagnostic ideas and post back any relevant data.

    2. HijackThis
    --------------------------------------------------
Please read THIS and after completing the steps outlined post a HijackThis log over in that section along with a brief description of your problem.

Do not post HijackThis logs in this section please.
