How to make your PC faster?
Hey guys, I own a 512 MB Windows XP pc
I want to make it faster. What can i do? currently, i can't buy more ram.

Why? Understand that XP is using up most of your 512Mb just for itself. Adding more RAM (even if it means tossing your old RAM modules) is most likely still your best bet - and does offer the most bang for your money.
Otherwise - there's little you can do other than keep your system clean of malware and clutter. Make sure your hard drive has ample free space (with only 512Mb, XP is certainly banging the Page File located on the slow hard drive). If your hard drive is heavily fragmented, defragging will help a little.

Yeah, but with this whole re-session thing, my mom is avoiding anything not useful.
Anyway, I will try de fragging, thanks!

I can understand that. Times are very rough and a working computer is what's important. Just make sure you keep it patched, updated, scanned and blocked, and stay away from sites that allow illegal activities, like illegal filesharing of copyrighted materials.

A lot of programs like to run small programs automatically and if you know what you are doing you can turn some of them off. That will free up resources. winpatrol will help you do this however this is an advanced operation. When you see what is running research what the program does before you decide to prevent it from running and stay away from messing with the windows programs or you can cause instability. You'll have the ability to either disable or remove a start up program and I would choose disable instead of remove that way you can undo this if you need to. Remove doesn't actually remove the program but it is harder to undo. If you want you can post the entries and we can try to help you decide what you can safely turn off.
You'll be amazed at how much resources you can free up [both memory and CPU] however, again, this is an advanced procedure so we cannot be held responsible.
What do you do most with your computer? Internet, office, etc or do you do a lot of heavy gaming? 512 MB should be fine if you are efficient with your resources unless you do heavy gaming, video editing, etc. It is my recommended minimum for XP.
