jephree,
I ran the IEfix2.cmd you posted and i got 2 errors. One for mshtml.dll and one for msjava.dll. Can you please advise what i need to do next? Like Angela, I downloaded Firefox and it works, but IE still doesn't. I have a feeling it has something to do with those 2 dlls.
Here are the rundll32.exe files that I found on my system:
C:\i386
C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$ (this is colored blue)
C:\WINDOWS\system32
C:\Program Files\MUSICMATCH\Musicmatch Jukebox
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
Some background regaring this issue. My computer was affected by the Vundo virus and Spybot found the error. Sybot asked me what i wanted to do with the file and i selected "delete" i believe. I have not been able to use IE since. I think Spybot deleted the infected dll, which could be one of the 2 dlls your command file found, and thus disable IE. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I did the msconfig tips you provided and the error box no longer comes up when I boot up.
Thanks,
Raphael
If you do not have IE8 I'd suggest installing that:
Internet Explorer 8: Home page
Are you sure, the computer is clean? My computer was affected by the Vundo virus and Spybot found the error
Broni,
Not 100% sure, but since Spybot deleted the file, I haven't had any further problems for the past 4 days. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Keep us posted, then![]()
