For months I have been plagued by my computer lighting off my 56k modem. I can be in any program and up comes the dialing dialog box. I hit cancel but shortly there after, it tries again. When I let it go to completion, there is nothing waiting to use the connection. Nothing gets sent and nothing get received. I'm about ready to pitch this laptop out and buy a new one. It's Toshiba satelite about 4 year old. Is there anything I can do?
