BSOD + Restarts Loop - Cannot load Windows/Safe mode

    Hi All

My PC suddenly restarted and BSOD on me. Then it will keep restarting and not allowing it to enter Windows XP. Safe mode doesn't work either. It flashes a really fast BSOD, so I had to take a video to see what happened. The sudden reboot happened during gaming session, watching video or just random browser usage.

The point of restart is the one after loading CMOS ...
For safe mode, it is after the general loading of the main files and it rebooted.

    History of problems:
Day 1: Was browsing or playing fallout3 (I was playing fine the few days before). PC suddenly restarted and keep looping.

Day 2: I switched off PC for 1 day. Surprisingly it was able to enter Windows XP. I was using it fine for a while, even updated BIOS, reinstalled new GFX driver fine. It restarted fine. By night I was watching a divx movie, it suddenly restarted and same restarts problem.

Day 3: Shutting down and restarting doesn't solve it. Tried the XP setup disk and a different BSOD showed up.

The picture and text from Microsoft is different. My pic shows it reference to hardware-update.com. I was googling a forum, someone mentioned it might be a virus? Boot virus?

Virus? My hard drive is failing me?

The first BSOD that flashes by really fast.
"Stop 0x000000A5" Error When You Are Installing Windows XP
The bios in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your system vendor for an updated bios. If you are unable to obtain an updated bios or the latest bios supplied by your vendor is not ACPI compliant, you can turn off ACPI mode during text mode setup. To do this, simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed--it will silently disable ACPI and allow you to continue your installation."

    First things I would do:

    Run MemTest

    MemTest
    --------------------------------------------------
    Try running MemTest.

Next run the diagnostic on your hard drive. Who made your hard drive?

    you can try these
    - don't have floppy first in boot order, set cdrom first
    - disable APM in bios.Possible to enable it after driver/windows updates
    - disable Legacy USB Support in bios

Update - I have no idea what happened. Though I meddled around with disabling ACPI. It didn't work. Then out of a sudden ... it works again. Boots fine. Runs videos and programs fine. I haven't tried any of the things you all suggested.

I will the memtest, hard drive test, and legacy USB. Disable APM? Which one is that?
