It's happened again...regarding 'CTicketmanagerWnd: msnmsgr.exe' coming up on restarting computer. I tried doing the things previously mentioned but this time my computer crashed and I lost internet and USB Ports.
Firstly to explain, I was using Pinnacles and it kept crashing I asked the help team and they said to go into the START and run MSCONFIG and under startup tab delete everything that's not needed and then under GENERAL tab tick use Diagnostic Startup. I rebooted and on startup lost everything, Internet and USB Ports but the 'CTicketmanagerWnd: msnmsgr.exe' came back to haunt me! My husbands could still get onto the Internet through his laptop (we have wireless) so we knew it wasn't the Internet. So I went back into MSCONFIG and under GENERAL tab selected Normal Startup and restarted computer. Everything came back Internet and USB Ports worked but the 'CTicketmanagerWnd: msnmsgr.exe' message still remains. What can I do without losing everthing again?
Thanks in advance.
Lesley
You could go back in MSCONFIG and try everything listed one at a time till you find the culprit.
You could also try:
go to start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
On the left panel click Add or Remove Windows Components
Untick both message queuing and Windows Messenger.
See if that changes anything.
I have a CD(RW) and a DVD (RW) Drive on my PC. Went to burn a Video project through Nero to the DVD Drive and it came up 'error' I looked at the went into My Computer and both Drives were showing up as CD Drives. I looked at the properties for what should be the DVD Drive and it said the disc was full so I tried another DVD and that came up error and again showed it as a CD (not DVD) and again it showed it was full. This is the first time this has happened as I burnt loads of DVD is the last few days! Is it because I done a MSCONFIG as I'd been having previous problems with CTicketMsngr?
Regards
Lesley
Right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager.
Click the + next to DVD/CD-ROM drives
Right click your DVD drive and choose uninstall.
Re-start your computer.
This will force XP to re-detect the hardware and re-install the proper drivers.
