    jephree-

    Downloaded the java again.

I appreciate all you've done & am OK with the way it is unless/until there are repetitious crashes. Spend your precious time with others who are more critical.

    Thx again!

    Bill

No problem. We are here to help.

I find it interesting that the same behavior is on two different computers.

Do they both have Google Toolbar? If so you might try removing that.

Another curiosity would be again try start Run... regsvr32 urlmon.dll

Are you familiar with the registry and editing it?

If not do not edit it but try to look here:

    start Run... regedit

Click the + to expand as you go:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_ LOCKDOWN

    Once there:

    Click Iexplore.exe

    Look at Value data

    Is it 1 or 0?

    That is the Default.

Some suggest when having issues opening links to change this value to (0).

If you choose to do so do not forget where you did it so you can undo it but more importantly backup your registry before ever editing it.

ERUNT is a great tool for backup:

    ERUNT and NTREGOPT
