yes i did a system restore from my recovery discs and it went through fine and right after it got done competing the windows loading please wait screen came up then a file folder popped up saying windows xp home edition 8514fix.fon cannot be found select file where to open it at and i looked it up and the file that its suppose to be in is empty what do i do

Are you able to start Windows? If so search your XP CD and see if you can move the file to its' intended location.
