    sound problem please help

    hi guys and girls .
    please help, wife goin mad been on comp for 2 days now lol
    heres my prob reinstalled xp on a hi grade pc , now it has no sound i have installed realtek ac 97 driver from driver guide - no joy installed audio driver from foxconn - no joy then i went into the bios settings and there she was audio disabled so i enabled installed drivers again still no sound . device manager says yellow ? by multimedia audio controller which it didnt say before lol i enabled sound lol no as you guessed i am confused please help i have done the belaric thingy ----- Computer Profile Summary

    Welcome to D-A-L.

    I don't see anything listed for a sound device.

    Download, install, and run Everest Home Edition on this machine. (Clean FreeWare) Once it's finished loading and running, look under MOTHERBOARD.
    Post what is listed for your Motherboard (make/model) and the Motherboard Chipset description.

    Then look under Multimedia, or, under Multimedia, PCI / PnP Audio. This will tell you what sound devices you have available on your system. Post that information.
