I just put a DVD in my laptop today and nothing happened, I did the same with a CD and again - nothing.

I clicked on MY COMPUTER to view the drives and it seems my DVD/CD ROM drive has just disappeard!!!!

I right clicked on MY COMPUTER - MANAGE - DEVICE MANAGER and I have a yellow exclamation mark over my DVD DRIVE icon!!

It was fine last time I booted up 2 days ago and I haven't installed anything new but I did uninstall itunes last night.

Can anyone help please?

Enter Device Manager, right click on the optical device, and choose uninstall. Exit, reboot/restart the machine.
