new to this whole thing, need help with son's computer. Had to reinstall operating system (xp) and all drivers need to be installed but winzip says it cannot do it and is "aborting the unzip operation". it is a gateway desktop, and they are of no help at all...any suggestions?

Your wording is a bit confusing. Winzip won't install drivers, it will only decompress the files.

Try EXRACT, ALL Files, into a directory (folder). (You can create a new directory from within Winzip.) Call it DRIVERS. Once all files are extracted, exit Winzip, then try installing any of these required drivers through Device Manager. Just point the installer to this new directory.

IF iT DOESN'T work. Install winrar
