    Roll back the display driver. Ignore the warning.

    Based on experience problem is your Video card or its driver and may be corrupted system files.

    I would suggest making a "repair installation" using your windows xp installation CD.

    Hi Lyn,

    From your first post, you said you have 100 GB Ram, I believed that is 100GB HDD space not RAM.

    If you have 2 RAM on the system, try remove 1 and just leave one on the system, power on the PC and see if you still got the same problem, if not, power OFF the PC and swap the other RAM, power on again, if blank screen happens again, you have a faulty RAM on your system needed replacement.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Bill, Okay I rechecked and it's definitely 2.00GHz, 1.00 GB Ram. Thanks ....Lyn...

    I'm going to look up how to do a repair install on windows XP also....maybe this would be the easiest way to solve this problem....most of the programs are games, some school work that doesn't need to be saved....so it might be a more sensible thing to do.

    Hey
    Dan...No worries....I'm sporatic too, lol.
    Thanks for the link for the install repair....,
    Okay, I'm trying to remember.....hit F2 to get to the info I need to find to change the boot up to the cd, right? It's been quite awhile since I had to do this, sorry if I'm not technically correct on terms here,lol. Lyn

    The key(s) to hit to enter the bios are usually displayed on the very first screen you see when powering up. ie; "Press Del to enter Setup". Unless you have a proprietary machine motherboard (ie; Brand_Name - Gateway, Dell, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Lenovo, Compaq, eMachine, etc.) which may have a manufacturers LOGO screen hiding things (which can also be disabled in the bios).

    Here's a list of bios' and machine types and their appropriate keys;
