here is a picture of it in the red square does anybody know how to remove it

The picture is too small to see what it's about. I looked yesterday and couldn't make anything out of it.

Try a bigger shot of it, and post a screen capture here instead of a third party site (that has pop-ups by the way).

Hey pc guy you can attach images when you post a reply, just hit reply then use the attachment option....

the part i want to get rid of is the part in the red box it tells you all the info about the file you have selected

i found a link on another site that told me how to sort it but thanks for your help anyway.
this thread can now be closed but for anyone else that wants to remove that bar here is how you can do it.
when in explorer go to tools>folder options>general tab and under tasks select use windows classic folders and then apply.
i feel stupid because it was that easy.
