hi, i have a pentium 4 pc with an 80 gig hard drive. for ages, i was running windows 2k fine on it, but i have just upgraded to xp. For some reason, whevener i scroll up or down, be it a web page, program or document, the scrolling is slow, jumpy and jaggered instead of beign smooth. Anything i can do about this?

Have you checked control panel > mouse > wheel ? (set a higher # of lines) ?

yup tried that it didnt do anything. another thing thats bugging me, it wont elt me standby or hibernate, yet i could do this fine when i was running 2k

Do you have Hibernation enabled in Power Options?

there is no tab for that i serached on the help bit apparently my computer "cannot support this function" yet it worked fine before

Do you have APM (advanced power management) enabled in the bios?
