okay sorry bout that Kaistar i didnt kno it was ur sleepy time ><

i played a song in windows media player and i didnt hear anything nor did i get an error
i check the event log and there were some red x's in there but non of them corresponded with the time i played the song.
under device manager theres 3 yellow exclamation points
looks like this:
!Ethernet Controller
!Multimedia Audio Controller
!PCI Simple Communications Controller
these are all under the other devices tab which has a yellow ? infront of it (?OtherDevices)
And with the driver u linked to me i downloaded the audio driver from there that was the first thing i thought of.
i tried all i could think of for like 6 days i need expert help :P

Hmm. If I'm not mistaken it should be a driver problem. Which makes it interesting because you're using the Dell Dimension 3000 and you've downloaded their drivers... So... Hmm...
But! You my friend, are lucky! Haha. I found a driver scanner after googling a little, and the program's safe because I downloaded it, installed it and used it once to make sure that the program isn't adware/spyware or any form of malware.
So, just download and use it and then find out the Multimedia Audio Controller's name (so that we can find the right driver for you) or use the ActiveX version if you are using IE (I'm not lol).
Let's hope we can solve this and get your music blaring again =D

Search for perhaps the name of the Multimedia Audio Controller? Perhaps under sound devices or audio devices?
edit: OMG I AM SO BLUR! There's a Driver Scanner link at the top of the DAL page as well.
