hi there you could buy try buying a network hub and plugging both pcs into it then pluging a printer server in to the hub. this is just a basic setup if you want more better than this then alternativly you can use you a router...

I agree with matithetwatie. Using a router can allow any computer connected to its LAN will be able to acces say 2 computers and share the printer as well.
