When I start my computer it up it automatically opens My Documents. How can I stop this happening? Please help. Thank you.

Hi computer40 and Welcome.
The first place to look is in Start Menu > All Programs > Startup. If My Documents is in there, right click and delete. That will remove only the "shortcut", not the folder.
If not there, see The "My Documents" folder automatically opens every time that you log on to a Windows XP Service Pack 2-based computer.
Note step 2d. What you typically find here with this problem is C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.exe,C:\Windows\System 32\Userinit.exe and it must be edited to C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.exe, (include the comma).
