Unhappy Unable to find proper screen mode for Gr2D

I've looked at many different solutions,
And figured out that I need to reinstall my display driver.
I know my PC can run maple, I've played it before.
I just reformatted because my comp was so effed up.
I've been at this for like.. 5 hours straight.
If I look in the Display menu in dxdiag, it just says:
    Name:
    Manufacturer:n/a
    Chip type:n/a
    DAC type:n/a
    Approx. total memory:n/a
    Current display mode: 1024x768 (32 bit) (1Hz)
    Moniter:

It has no info on this, so I can't figure out where to get the driver download..
NVidia doesn't work, by the way.

    I'm trying to play MapleStory

Sorry TehAstro we can't help you - you have told us nothing about your computer or graphics card.

Too bad you reformatted, that is always the last resort - with lost drivers being one of the main reasons. You need to go out to your computer or graphics card maker's website and down load the latest drivers.

If you do not know what graphics card you have, you can identify it using these steps:...

by the way, this is the most common way to do it.

    Go to Control Panel ->Performance and Maintenance ->System ->Hardware ->Device Manager->Display Adapter

it should be right there. If it is not, and got deleted, for some reason, or it was never there in the first place, then...follow this very carefully...

go to start, run..., type "cmd" (just the letters) , then type in command prompt, type in...

    debug

At the dash (-) prompt, type: d C000:0010

The information on the right hand side should help you determine what video card you have installed. To scroll down, type D and enter at the dash prompt, btw.

    hope this helps.

Don't know what you were expecting thangalang, but that does not work. But thanks anyway. For any one trying this, type quit to exit debug, then type exit to exit the command window.

To determine your graphics, you can certainly look in Device Manager, or use a system information program like Everest or System Information for Windows (SIW).
