Hi
my laptop is running really really slow and i dont really know why, i have deleted all that i can, and tried to defrag which the first time didnt take very long and then the second time (cos the 1st time didnt seem to help) took ages and didnt finished. Starting up my computer takes a really really long time and it is driving me crazy. Also whenever i do turn my laptop on a wizard thingy comes up saying there is a new piece of hardware but i havnt used anything knew and it opens everytime i turn the computer on when there is nothing in the usb ports.

ok, first off, go to:
Eusing Free Registry Cleaner: Safely scan and repair registry problems - Spyware FREE.

download that and run it, it will clean up the registry, whihc should speed it up.

Try doing an antivirus scan, and a scan with Spybot S&D
(The home of Spybot-S&D!)

I guess a HiJack This Log might be useful if you have it..
