Hello,

I formated my computer today and after I started Windows Media Player or Winamp 5 (or any other program that requires sound) i did NOT get any sound
I checked on the control panel/hardware what the problem was and audicontrol for multimedia is yellow and has got a questionmark and says: "The Driver was not installed (Code 28). I downloaded Everest Home Edition and the Sound Driver is:
"SiS 7012 Audio Device PCI"
I found the driver and tried to install it but the installation cancelled

Does anyone know what to do??

You need to use the utilities disk that came with your computer or motherboard and install the drivers from there. Alternatively, you need to go out the PC or motherboard maker's website and download the latest driver for your model.
