Hi All

I have managed to salvage all I need from my very poorly PC whilst in safe mode.
So I have decided that it might be as well to clear it all out and start again.
A couple of questions pls.

How would I do that ?

and what do I need to ensure I have, before clearing it all, and reinstall the operating system ?

First off you must have any cds that came from the manufacturer. One will have the Operating system on it. You might also want to go to the manufacturer's website & download any drivers pertaining to the model of your computer. If wait to do this until after installing XP you probably won't be able to get on the internet. Also back up your files since an OS reinstall will erase all the files on the drive that you're installing XP on.

To start thats basically all. You can worry about your software after you have reinstalled the OS & its drivers.
