I have created a gedcom file for my family tree. When I save it outside of the software programme, I can not reopen it. How do I reopen a gedcom file saved to a memory stick or external hard drive. I an not very computer savvy so please be as detailed and as simple as you can. Thanks

I am not sure what you mean here by "outside" the program. And the file does not open, what does happen? Do any windows open, or error messages appear?
