    restoring C drive

We did a system restore last night after many problems with the computer. Now we cannot find our C drive files that we had. Please tell me how to RESTORE the C drive back to the system.

Also, now it asks for license/registration info everytime we try to use a Microsoft program (Excel, Word). We dont have the information to enter in but until we do, it will not allow us into these programs.
    Thanks!

Didn't you get an option to undo system restore after doing it in case your system stopped working? That option should be there.

Click on the start menu & then run. Type in compmgmt.msc & hit enter. On the left side of the box that pops up, click on Disk management. On the right side in the bottom window find your hard drive & make sure that it has a drive letter. If it doesn't say "Local Disk (C" then you won't be able to access the drive although if this is where Xp is installed then it should have a drive letter. Does it show up in my computer?

As for Office, were you running a trial? Trials eventually expire & after it does you can only use it to view & print documents at best. What version of office is it (2000, XP, 2003, 2007 or something else)? Where did you get it? Did it come with your computer? Why don't you have a license key?
