I have a collection of audioplays on DVD and would like to be able to play them on my CD player, how can I do this?

You can't - for a couple reasons.

CD optics, including blank disks, writers and players are based on much older, less sophisticated technologies and only support CDs. DVD's newer, advanced technologies allow much tighter (more precise, narrow focus) control of the write process, providing much higher data densities (storage capacity) in the same amount of physical space, which takes us to the other reason.

The maximum space available for storage on CDs is about 700Mb. The smallest DVD I can find holds 4.7Gb! Files on DVDs can be very large, more than the the capacity of any CD.

DVD players, on the other hand, are almost always backward compatible, and can play most CDs with no problems.

You need to buy a DVD player.
