my master volume control volume button keeps going down automicly about every 5 mins or so , how can i fix this problem ?

Do you mean the volume itself is changed or do you just lose the taskbar icon?

it changes it self . its still in my task bar and when i double click on it and the window opens i set it to the top . and i can sit here not touching any thing and watch it drop

Are you using any media player at the time?

You can also right click the icon and Open Volume Control which shows more detail.

Often third party media players such as Real Player will override the XP settings.

Also many tests available via start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices

this blooming thing is still messing up . ive tryed every thing i know to do and its still messing up . im using real player but ive not used it in a great while . is there any thing i can do . pleaseeeeeeeeee help .
