Hopefully someone can help me!

Today i just upgraded the ram on my computer from 2 128mb cards t 2 512mb cards. once i had done that i reinstalled windows xp, i put the disk in and clicked upgrade (reccomended).

I left it to install an once i came back it had restarted the computer and was stuck on the windows splash screen, with the options: safe modes, last known good config and start windows normally.

But no mater what option you pressed it would always just restart the computer and go back to this screen, and now it juts continually loops.

I have tried recovering it from the recovery disk, but it will not boot from the cd.

I have changed the BIOS setup in order for it to boot from cd, but it just returns to the same screen

Any advice would be welcome

First off, just curious, why reinstall XP just because you added RAM?

Next are you sure the RAM is compatible?

What is the make and model of the computer or the motherboard if custom built?

What is the source of the XP CD? Is it a Microsoft retail CD or an OEM recovery CD?

Also if the hard drive is a SATA drive did you load the drivers for it?
