Can anyone tell me how to erase DVd's. I only have Nero Burning rom on my PC.

First of all you should determine if the DVDs you have are rewritable or not. To find out, I guess you can check by comparing your DVD and the ones listed here. I'm not sure if they're comprehensive but they should be.

DVD Recordable

You'll require at least Nero Burning Rom 5 to burn DVDs, but it's hard for us to find instructions on erasing/rewriting DVDs unless you can provide us your Nero version.

Okay, first of all make sure that you have a DVD-Rom capable of rewriting discs.

I'm not really familiar with Nero anymore, especially with the old "Burning Rom" version but I found some instructions at their official site.

At the top of the screen you should be able to see File, Edit, View, Recorder etc etc.

1. Click Recorder
2. Click "Erase Rewritable"
3. Choose either Quick or Full Erase.
4. Voila!

Quick erase is, as the name implies, quicker than full but with the downside that it does not fully erase all the information. Data can still be retrieved (though I'm unsure how one would do that). On the other hand, Full erase takes a longer time but does a more thorough job of deleting data.
