Computer doesn't hibernate or go on standby

I have windows XP media Center and every time I put it on standby it crashes when going to wake it up and every single time I try to put it into hibernate it crashes when it goes to resume.

every single time it used to work just fine when I had xp, and it works on vista but not on MC.
I like media center better than xp and vista what is the problem?

I have it do memory dumps and generate logs to see what the problem is but I can't find the logs.

Logs are listed as either minidump or .dmp

You need the debugging tools and the debug wiz to open them as seen here:

    BSOD

Read the post HERE for a few diagnostic ideas and post back any relevant data.

I also wonder the make and model of the computer as well as the source of your MCE.

MCE is a proprietary OEM operating system and only intended for computers upon which it was installed by the manufacturer.

Being such if the version you have does not match the intended machine many errors would be expected.

Also if you are referring to the following OS:

Please note my last reply there.

D-A-L is not a place to ask for help with such software.

If by "crash" you mean BSOD please try and get some logs as noted above.
