i got sound to work by getting the correct soundmax drivers and installing them. the usb ports still dont work, does anyone know where to get those drivers? jephree?

by the way, the computer is a Lenovo 3000 J115 7387-26U running Windows XP Home Edition

As noted the USB drivers are "Native" to XP and should have been installed as part of XP post SP1.

If you have not reinstalled all Windows Updates you should. Now at SP3.


You also might try installing the NVIDIA Chipset drivers.
