    Post Sevice pack 3 downloaded

    Hi,

I have just downloaded Sevice pack 3 from majorgeeks.com.

The question is do I install it?

My computer is working fine at the moment, exept for a Defrag start upproblem.

What will the benifits be? I will wait for advice before installing.

    Kind regards from newby

The advantages are that your system will be updated with the latest security patches.

    Hi
I have just noticed that the Service pack 3 I downloaded from Majorgeeks.com, is a Image Files size 557,932 KB.

Do I install that in the normal way, if your advice is to install it at all.

    thanks newby

    I suggest Windows Update.

An image file is an ISO and needs to be burned to a CD with an ISO burner.

YES, update. Like you I was concerned about installing SP3 but I like to keep my PCs current & bit the bullet about a week ago. No problems have surfaced
However , I strongly suggest that you take jephree advice & use the Windows Update.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network Installation Package for IT Professionals and Developers is the downloaded file I use. Or, use Windows Update as suggested.
