my window XP doesnt recognize the modem. i tried every trick in teh book: killed all the processors, reboot, reformat, went in control panel to see if the modem even made it into the icon there for modems. went into the device manager and totally delete it from there. Closed all programs and rebooed to no avail, plz help

Is this a new problem? Did your setup ever work? What exactly is your setup?

By modem do you mean an internal card or your ISPs box? Or is this wireless?
