Just yesterday, i was using my comp suddenly some of the icon of my folders and shortcut icons changed from the original one into the unreadable format.. as in the icon that when u open it, it will ask u to open with web and wad so ever. BUT, the folders and shortcuts that their icon changed can still be opened and used. anyone please help

Right click the folder, and click properties, and there will be a tab that says shortcut. There are several things on this "page", one of them is change icon.

PS, If you cannot see any icons available, put this into the directory box:
%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll

If there are no icons to use, you may have a corrupted dll. In which case, google for the shell32 dll
