two relatively minor but annoying problems
Once in a great while my desktop freezes and comes up with the screen to reactivate the desktop. When I click the link, I get an error message stating that there are scripting errors on this page. This is, thank goodness, the only time I ever see this message. My second problem is that when I open a webpage, I frequently get "done but with errors on the page." What, if anything, does this mean and what, if anything, should I do about it?
Thanks for the help!

These are web site errors. You must have web content on your desktop.
To end the messages:
Under Tools > Advanced: check:
Disable script debugging (IE) & (Other)
:uncheck:
Display a notification about every script error
-
They were checked and unchecked, respectively! What's next, if anything? Thanks.

Do you have IE7 and all Windows Updates?
If not I would suggest it.
-
I am on automatic update, so I assume I'm covered!

To verify your IE version click: Help (?): then About IE. Should be IE7.
To verify your Windows Version right click My Computer then click Properties. Should be SP3.
Do you have Web Content on your desktop?
These errors are generally web site (script) errors and not computer errors.
Unless perhaps your firewall or some other filter tool were blocking or corrupting some content.

For whatever reason, I appear to have SP2. I guess my next move is to download SP3 from Microsoft.
I don't know what to do about the Firewall, if that is the problem. Since it happens so rarely I don't really know when it will happen again. But I will let you know and thank you for your help.!
