Windows Explorer Bombs Out With Msvcr70.dll Error
Running Win XP SP3
Fairly recently I started getting an error when I'm in Windows Explorer, moving files across folders. It has now got to the stage where the error occurs withing seconds of trying to carry out such as activity.
First of all an error box comes up with the message "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close..."
Clicking for details of the error another window comes up
Error signature
AppName explorer.exe Appver 6.0.2900.5512 Modname msvcr70.dll
Modver 7.0.9466.0 Offset 0000133d
I'm stuck as to know where to start. I've done a quick Google and invariably come to sites that ask me to download some program or other to perform registry checks and yes, you've guessed it, I have to pay for the program to sort the problem.
Any further information you need?
