What happens when you try? When did this start? What changes did you make? Have you scanned for malware?

Why would you want to open these files? When you attempt to "open" one of these files, you will be prompted to supply the application to perform that action. They are not normally meant to be opened or altered.

A *.sys file is an operating system "control" file, it dictates certain parameters or loads certain drivers.

cuz im having sound probs . not getting any sound . and the things i try to download are .sys files . and this started about a week ago

The system will handle these files. You shouldn't mess with them.
