Windows update fails to update these 2 updates I have installed SP3 with no problems a few days ago. I have a legit copy of windows so its not a genuine problem. It fails threw the website and through automatic updates. All other updates work fine but these 2 any ideas what could be the problem?

I downloaded that but all it did was scan my PC for infected files and the install still fails

Some how that stopped both from showing up as updates thanks alot!

I wonder why the Malicious Software Removal Tool doesn't show up in windows update any more when I never installed it.

That tool is repetitive every month.

I assume that SP3 confused the other updates.

Should be no problem.

I've had a lot of similar problems and finally decided to write a script to automatically fix nearly ALL of the possible Windows XP Update issues!
