I have just followed the good advice on setting up the Desktop to receive and send faxes. However.........It does say in the blurb that if you get the ring count wrong, the fax answers before the phone. When I was living in the UK I had a fax / answer phone set up and the fax signal was identified as a fax, which was set on two rings. If it was a phone call it went to five rings before the answerphone cut in. Is it not possible to use the same principle on a fax modem (no answerphone in the system) .
