all of a sudden the screen goes black, then blue and lots of writing in white.

near the botom it says:
driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

and below that:
adf.sys - address F6CC97FC base at F6CBC000, datestamp 41107eb5

it counts to 100 and restarts.
on restarting, windows wants to send an error report which came back as saying check your BIOS, consider an upgrade.

could anyone explain what i might have to do here ?
