i have a program that worked fine on win98se but after loading on winxp performs badly.
i found the compatibility wizard at accessories but it shws only a help file which cannot be applied at all.
how to reach the application that will help with installing the old program?

Right click on program's exe file, click Properties, then Compatibility tab, and select Win 98.

I loaded the program directly form CD and it works, but not quite properly. Therefore
I tried to install from CD through the compatmode as you advsed, and it says "insert a valid program"
Is there another way to install an old program?
