IE7's security extras - clash with mine?

i've just installed IE7 and it said on installation it would search for malware. also the first screen to come up was an 'antiphishing check'

i clicked yes to both, seeing as i wasn't sure

i am wondering if any of these two will interfer or conflict with the security already on my system

    i have,
    AVG Free
    Windows Defender (anti spyware)
    Sunbelt (firewall)
Malware blockers - SpywareGuard and SpywareBlaster

    thanks for any help

    James

No, you should have no problems at all - the malware scan is a one-time thing during install and none of the programs you mentioned are of the same type found in IE. In fact, you will be much more secure by upgrading your system to IE7. A wise move.

But if you do think you might be experiencing some conflicts, you can easily disable phishing filter and popup blocker.

No problem. Once you get used to IE7, you will like it. Fortuantely, IE8 now in Beta, does not change the look and feel much from IE7 at all - so you won't have to learn it all over again.
